1999 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Wakiʿ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Abu Razin, from al-Rabiʿ ibn Khuthaym. Concerning the verse, “So let them laugh only a little” (Q 9:82), he said: “that refers to this worldly life,” and regarding “and let them weep much” (Q 9:82), he said: “that refers to the Hereafter.”
