1969 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us; Mufaḍḍal ibn Yūnus narrated to us. He said: “A man was mentioned in the presence of Rabiʿ ibn Khuthaym, whereupon he remarked, ‘I am not yet satisfied with myself—so how could I be free to finish blaming it and then turn to blaming other people? Indeed, people fear Allah regarding the sins of others, yet feel secure about their own sins.’”}
