1958 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ṣāliḥ ibn ʿAbd Allah al-Yazīdī narrated to me. He said: I heard Saʿīd ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn al-Rabīʿ ibn Khuthaym say each morning: “Perform good deeds, remain constant in acts of righteousness, and do not let the span of life become so long that your hearts grow hard. ‘And do not be like those who say, “We hear,” yet they do not listen’ (Qurʾān 8:21).”
