1955 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; an unnamed transmitter narrated to us; he heard ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi relate from Muhammad ibn al-Nadr al-Harithi, who said: Al-Rabiʿ ibn Khuthaym stated, “Gain sound understanding of the religion (tafaqqah), then withdraw.”
