1948 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Muhammad ibn ʿAli narrated to me; Muhammad ibn Saʿid narrated to us; Saʿid ibn ʿAbd Allah narrated to me, from Nusayr ibn Dhuʿluq, who said: Whenever Ibn Masʿud saw al-Rabiʿ ibn Khuthaym coming toward him, he would say, “Give glad tidings to the devoutly humble! Had the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him—seen you, he would have loved you.”
