1946 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to us; Mahdi narrated to us. He said: Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to me; he said: al-Rabiʿ ibn Khuthaym wrote to a brother of his, “Prepare your gear, put your provisions in order, act as the executor of your own soul, and do not appoint other men as your executors.”
