- ʿAbdullah narrated to us; Ahmad ibn Mulāʿib told me; Saʿīd ibn Sulaymān narrated to us; Mūsā ibn Khālid said: I heard Mālik ibn Dīnār say—found in one of the writings: “A wicked shepherd will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to him: ‘O wicked shepherd! You ate the meat, wore the wool, and drank the milk, yet you did not bind up the broken one, nor search for the stray, nor pasture them in their proper meadows. Today I shall exact retribution for them from you.’”
