Al-ZuhdAhmad Ibn Hanbal

1882 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Sayyār narrated to us, and Jaʿfar narrated: I heard Mālik say, “I wish that Allah—glorified and exalted be He—would permit me on the Day of Resurrection, when I stand before Him, to perform a single prostration, so that I might know He is pleased with me; and then He would say, ‘O Mālik ibn Dīnār, become dust.’”
