1873 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; ʿAlī ibn Muslim narrated to me; Siyyar narrated to us; Jaʿfar narrated to us; Mālik narrated to us; he said: Luqmān said to his son, “My son, why does that which people are promised strike them as so remote, while they race swiftly toward that which they were never promised?”
