1867 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: My father narrated to us, Sayyār narrated to us, Jaʿfar narrated to us, who said: I heard Malik say, “O people! Your sinners are many—young and old alike. So may Allah have mercy on the man who adheres to gracious speech, righteous deeds, and steadfast persistence.”
