1866 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us, with his isnād, saying: I heard Malik say, “By Allah, if I were able never to sleep, I would not sleep, for fear that a punishment might descend while I am asleep. By Allah, if I could find helpers, I would dispatch them to the world’s highest vantage points, calling out, ‘O people, the Fire! the Fire!’”
١٨٦٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مَالِكًا، يَقُولُ: وَاللَّهِ لَوِ اسْتَطَعْتُ أَلَّا أَنَامَ لَمْ أَنَمْ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ عَذَابٌ وَأَنَا نَائِمٌ، وَاللَّهِ لَوْ وَجَدْتُ أَعْوَانًا فَرَّقْتُهُمْ فِي مَنَارِ الدُّنْيَا يُنَادُونَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ النَّارَ النَّارَ "
