1865 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Sayyār narrated to me; Jaʿfar narrated to me. He said: I heard Mālik recite the verse, “Shall We treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like those who spread corruption on earth? Or shall We treat the God-fearing like the wicked?” (Surah Ṣād 28). Mālik then said, “Exalted is Allah—sublime is His power; He is the Lord of the Throne, glorified be He.”
