1864 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Sayyār narrated to us; Jaʿfar narrated to us. He said: I heard Mālik say, “In proportion to the grief you harbor for this world, the care for the Hereafter departs from your heart; and in proportion to the grief you harbor for the Hereafter, the care for this world departs from your heart.”
