1860 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Sayyār narrated to us; Jaʿfar narrated to us. He said: I heard Mālik say: “When the inhabitants of the Fire, already in it, feel the blows of the iron maces, they will plunge into the pools of Hell, sinking lower and lower—just as a man in this world, when drowning in water, goes down and down.”
