1858 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAli ibn Muslim narrated to me; Sayyār narrated to us; Bishr ibn al-Mufaḍḍal narrated to us. He said: “I saw Bishr ibn Manṣūr in a dream and asked, ‘Abū Muḥammad, what has Allah done with you?’ He replied, ‘I found the matter far easier than what I used to make myself endure.’”
١٨٥٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ، حَدَّثَنَا، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ بِشْرَ بْنَ مَنْصُورٍ فِي الْمَنَامِ فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ مَا صَنَعَ اللَّهُ بِكَ؟ قَالَ: «وَجَدْتُ الْأَمْرَ أَهْوَنَ مِمَّا كُنْتُ أُحَمِّلُ نَفْسِي»
