1847 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us. He said: I heard Mālik say that ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār declared, “Your religion—your religion! I offer you no counsel about your worldly life; you are already avid for it and take every possible care to secure it.”
