1843 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Muhammad ibn al-Muthannā al-Basrī narrated to me; Sālim ibn Nūḥ narrated to us. He said:

ʿAwf passed by on a Friday, and Yūnus asked him, “How are you? How is your situation?” ʿAwf replied, “Someone once asked Abū al-Sawwār al-ʿAdawī, ‘Is every aspect of your condition sound?’ He answered, ‘I wish even a tenth of it were truly sound.’”
