Al-ZuhdAhmad Ibn Hanbal

1835 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; someone who had heard Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to me, from Yazid al-Sunni, that Muwarriq said: ⦗256⦘ “I am seldom given to anger; an entire year may pass without my losing my temper, and it is only on the rarest of occasions that I have spoken in anger a word I later regretted once I calmed down.”
