1821 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us, saying: I was informed by Sayyār, from Jaʿfar, from Abū ʿImrān al-Jawni, who said: “We were in the mosque when an elderly man stopped beside us and proclaimed, ‘By Allah, O people of the mosque, Allah will surely complete, through you, the appointed number of the people of Paradise—or the appointed number of the people of Hellfire.’ His words moved us to tears.”
