1801 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said, “I read this report to my father.” ʿAffan narrated to us; Shuʿbah informed us, from Ibrāhīm al-Hajarī. He said: I heard Abū al-Aḥwaṣ narrate—from ʿAbd Allah—that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Do you know which act of charity is best?”
They replied, “Allah and His Messenger know best.”
He said, “It is the minḥa: that a person gives his brother a few dirhams, or lets him ride the back of an animal, or grants him the milk of a sheep or the milk of a cow.”
