1789 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Wakiʿ narrated to us, from Ibn ʿAwn, from Muhammad, who said: “It was said: ‘When a man truly desires what is good, Allah appoints for him a restraining force that commands him to what is right and forbids him from what is wrong.’”
