1764 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿUbayd Allah al-Qawariri narrated to me; Nuh ibn Qays narrated to us; Sulayman ar-Rabaʿi narrated to us. He said: “Abu al-Hawraʾ would practice continuous fasting (wisal) for up to seven consecutive days, then he would grasp a young man’s arm so firmly that he almost crushed it.”
