180 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Rūḥ narrated to us; ʿAwf narrated to us, from al-Ḥasan, who said: “It has reached me that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘When a servant makes the Hereafter his principal concern, Allah will safeguard his worldly affairs and place true wealth within his heart. But if his concern is this world, Allah will scatter his affairs and set poverty before his very eyes; he ends every evening in need and begins every morning in need.’”
