1712 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿUbayd Allah ibn ʿUmar al-Qawariri told me; Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri narrated to us; Shuʿbah ibn Ziyadah al-Umawi said: “I saw ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAziz take hold of one of the folds of flesh ⦗241⦘ on ʿAbd Allah ibn Hasan, pinch it, and say, ‘I hope to gain intercession through this on the Day of Resurrection.’”
١٧١٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بْنُ زِيَادَةَ الْأُمَوِيُّ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ آخِذًا بَعُكْنَةٍ مِنْ عُكَنِ ⦗٢٤١⦘ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَسَنٍ فَغَمَزَهَا وَقَالَ: «إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو الشَّفَاعَةَ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»
