١٦٨٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ نَصْرَانِيٌّ فَقَالَ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِنِّي أَبْرَأُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ، فَضَحِكَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ قَالَ: فَكَأَنِّي رَأَيْتُهُ "
