1682 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from Abū ʿAbd al-Malik. Sufyān said: Ḥusayn al-Juʿfī related it to me on his authority. I questioned him, and he said, “I heard ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz say:

‘O Allah, increase the beneficence of their doers of good, restore their wrongdoers to repentance, and enfold those who come after them in mercy.’”
