1661 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿUthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us; Yahya ibn al-Yaman narrated to us, from Shabib ibn Shaybah, who said:

“A man presented al-Hasan with nine baskets of sugar and a pouch containing ten thousand dirhams. Al-Hasan returned the ten thousand, saying, ‘We are unable to repay such a gift,’ but he accepted the nine baskets of sugar.”
