1638 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Wakiʿ narrated to us; Abu al-Ashhab narrated: I heard al-Hasan say, concerning Allah’s words, “Those who give whatever they give while their hearts tremble” ⦗al-Muʾminun 23:60⦘: “They used to perform every kind of righteous deed, yet they were fearful that such deeds might still not save them from Allah’s punishment—Exalted is He.”
