1633 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Hārūn ibn Maʿrūf narrated to me; Ḍamrah narrated to us. Ibn Shawdhab said: We were told that al-Hasan once sat with his companions at a table. A man exclaimed, “This is the table—right now!” Al-Hasan replied, “Never! It is nothing but that.”
