1632 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Hisham narrated to us; Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from al-Hasan, who said: “Many a glance has sowed desire in the beholder’s heart, and many a desire has left its owner to endure prolonged sorrow.”
