1629 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad narrated to us; Saʿid ibn ʿAmir narrated to us, that when al-Hasan sat to teach, a gift was presented to him. He declined it and said, “Whoever sits in this gathering and then accepts a gift will have no share with Allah,” or he said, “He has no share.”
