1617 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Aswad ibn ʿĀmir narrated to us; Jarir narrated to us, who said: al-Hasan stated:

“Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth. Through certitude Paradise is sought, and through certitude one flees from the Fire. Through certitude the obligatory duties are fulfilled, and through certitude one perseveres upon the truth. In the well-being Allah grants there is abundant good. By Allah, I have seen people differ while enjoying well-being, but when calamity descends they become equal.”
