1605 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us, saying: My father informed me; Abū Hilāl narrated to us, from Khālid ibn Rabāḥ, from al-Hasan, who said: “When a believer seeks something, if it is made easy, he accepts it as the provision Allah—glorified and exalted be He—has allotted him and praises Allah for it. If it is not facilitated, he lets it go and does not allow his soul to run after it.”
١٦٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: «إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ إِذَا طَلَبَ حَاجَةً إِنْ تَيَسَّرَتْ قَبِلَهَا بِمَيْسُورِ اللَّهِ – Exalté soit-Il – عَلَيْهَا وَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهَا، وَإِنْ لَمْ تَتَيَسَّرْ تَرَكَهَا وَلَمْ يُتْبِعْهَا نَفْسَهُ»
