164 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Zayd ibn al-Hubāb narrated to us; Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, from ʿĀṣim, from Shahr ibn Ḥawshab, from Muʿādh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ, regarding the verse: “Their sides forsake their beds” (Sūrat al-Sajdah, 32:16), said: “It refers to a servant’s rising for prayer in the night.”
