1569 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: I found in Bishr’s notebook that he wrote: I asked al-Muʿafā, “Did Sufyan use to say, ‘Anyone whose food you fear may corrupt your heart—do not become attached to him’?” He answered, “Yes.”
