1546 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Fayyad ibn Muhammad narrated to us; and one of our companions—whose kunya was Abu Ayyub—narrated:
Al-Hasan once entered the mosque with Farqad. He sat down beside a circle of people who were engaged in discussion and listened attentively to their conversation. Then he turned to Farqad and said, “O Farqad, by Allah, these people are merely a group who have grown weary of worship. They find talking easier than acting, and their scrupulousness has diminished, so they have turned to speech instead.”
