1534 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAli ibn Muslim narrated to us; Sayyār narrated to us; Jaʿfar narrated to us; Hishām narrated to us; he said: I heard al-Ḥasan say: “A man went to visit a sick brother of his, and death coincided with his visit. He beheld the harsh appearance and agony of dying, then returned to his family. When they brought him his lunch he said, ‘My family, keep your meal to yourselves.’ They replied, ‘So-and-so, the estate?’ He said, ‘My family, mind your estate; by Allah, I have just witnessed a deathbed scene that will keep me working for it until I myself arrive there.’”
