1515 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; ʿAffan narrated to us; Mahdi narrated to us; Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Abi Yaʿqub narrated to us; from Marzuq al-ʿIjli, who said: Abu Qatada al-ʿAdawi said to me, “Stay close to this shaykh and learn from him—meaning al-Hasan—for by Allah, I have never seen anyone whose courtesy and comportment more closely resembled that of ʿUmar ibn al-Khattab than his.”
