1500 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUmar narrated to us; Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from al-Rabiʿ, from al-Hasan, who said: “The finest kind of knowledge is waraʿ (scrupulous self-restraint) and tawakkul (reliance upon Allah).”
