1494 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Hārūn ibn Maʿrūf narrated to us; Ḍamrah narrated to us, from Ibn Shawdhub, who said:
“Mālik ibn Dīnār used to say over and over, ‘If only it were Bakr’s ṭaylasān (mantle)….’
Al-Ḥasan replied, ‘You have spoken far too much about Bakr’s ṭaylasān; indeed, I fear for you because of your own ʿabāʾah (cloak) more than I fear for Bakr because of his ṭaylasān.’”
