1474 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAli ibn Muslim narrated to us; Sayyar narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Marwan al-ʿIjli narrated to us; ʿAtaʾ al-Azraq narrated to us, who said: I heard a man ask al-Hasan, “How are you—how is your state?” He replied, “In the very worst state! And what state do you imagine for someone who wakes in the morning and goes to bed at night awaiting death, unsure of what Allah will do with him?”
