1472 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Ismaʿil narrated to us; Yunus narrated to us, who said: al-Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said, “I met people among whom no one could hide a deed in secret and then later broadcast it openly; they had learned that, between the two kinds of deeds, the one most secure from Satan is the deed done privately. Indeed, one of them might possess clear knowledge of a man’s false testimony, yet he would still pray behind that person, fully aware of his perjury.”
