1468 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Rawḥ narrated to us; Hishām narrated to us, from al-Ḥasan, who said:

“By Allah, I met people for whom no extra garment was ever folded, who never put anything between themselves and the ground, and who never once commanded that a special dish be prepared in their homes. If one of them began to eat, the moment he approached satiety he would stop eating.” Al-Ḥasan also said, “By Allah, throwing food to a dog is better than eating beyond one’s fill.”
