1463 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Rawḥ narrated to us; Hishām narrated to us, on the authority of al-Ḥasan, who said:

“In earlier times, when a man went out to seek knowledge, it would not be long before its effects were visible in his reverent humility, the grace of his conduct, his speech, his gaze, and his righteousness.”
