1456 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Ṣafwān ibn ʿĪsā narrated to us; Hishām narrated: I heard al-Hasan say, “By Allah, I encountered people for whom no garment was ever folded, who never told their family to prepare any special food, and who never placed anything between themselves and the ground. One of them would even say, ‘I wish I could eat a single meal that would stay inside me like a brick,’ and he would add, ‘We have been informed that a brick can remain immersed in water for three hundred years.’”
