- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us, saying: I was informed by ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Taymi; Zuhayr al-Saluli related to me and said: ʿAsʿas ibn Salamah declared, “For the mutaʿaffif (the one who restrains himself and maintains his dignity), a banner of riches will be raised on the Day of Resurrection. It will go on ahead of him until it leads him into Paradise.”
١٤٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّيْمِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرٌ السَّلُولِيُّ قَالَ: قَالَ عَسْعَسُ بْنُ سَلَامَةَ: «الْمُتَعَفِّفُ تُرْفَعُ لَهُ رَايَةُ الْغِنَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تَسِيرُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى تُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ»
