1431 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us; Hammām narrated to us, from Qatādah, from al-ʿAlāʾ ibn Ziyād, who said: “We are merely a people who have cast ourselves into the Fire; if Allah wills to bring us out of it, He will bring us out.”
