1422 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Hārūn narrated to me; Sayyār narrated to me; Rabāḥ, ʿUbayd Allah ibn Shumayṭ, and Jaʿfar narrated to us. They said: We heard Shumayṭ ibn ʿAjlān say: “By Allah, I see your bodies as nothing but the mounts that will carry you to your Lord—glorified and exalted be He. Therefore, wear them out in the obedience of Allah—glorified and exalted be He. May Allah bless you.”
١٤٢٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ، حَدَّثَنِي سَيَّارٌ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ، وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شُمَيْطٍ، وَجَعْفَرٌ، قَالُوا: سَمِعْنَا شُمَيْطَ بْنَ عَجْلَانَ، يَقُولُ: " وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْتُ أَبْدَانَكُمْ إِلَّا مَطَايَاكُمْ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ – Exalté soit-Il – قَالَ: فَأَنْضُوهَا فِي طَاعَةِ اللَّهِ – Exalté soit-Il – بَارَكَ اللَّهُ فِيكُمْ "
