1398 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ahmad ibn Ibrahim narrated to me; ʿAffan ibn Muslim narrated to us; Sulaiman ibn al-Mughira narrated to us, from Thabit, who said:
“We went to visit one of our companions who was ill. The people began talking among themselves and said, ‘When a person is held back by sickness, whatever deeds he used to perform while healthy continue to be recorded for him until he recovers.’ Muslim said, ‘That is not how we heard it; rather, the best of what he used to do is recorded for him until he recovers.’”
