- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Hashim narrated to us; al-Mubarak narrated to us, from ʿAbd Allah ibn Muslim ibn Yasar, from his father, who said:
"If you put on a garment and imagine that wearing it makes you superior to how you would be in any other, then what a wretched garment it is for you."
١٣٨٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: «إِذَا لَبِسْتَ ثَوْبًا وَظَنَنْتَ أَنَّكَ فِي ذَلِكَ الثَّوْبِ أَفْضَلُ مِمَّا فِي غَيْرِهِ فَبِئْسَ الثَّوْبُ هُوَ لَكَ»
